Song Project Reflection
I thought the hardest part of this project was recording the song and making an iMovie. I took about five hours making my iMovie because it took so long to load and it was confusing but I'm glad with the final song because it seemed like everyone in class enjoyed my song, even though it was a bit long. I think everyone's songs were well done and everyone had a fun time listening to each others songs. I learned a lot about how to write songs, rhythm, rhyming, and iMovie. Overall, I had fun with this project.

Analysis
My song is a love song and the genre is ballad. My lyrics reminded me of a ballad song because it didn’t match rap or hip-hop, it was more of a nice slow song. I wrote my song about love because most songs I hear are love songs and it is something I can relate to. Most of my lyrics were inspired by thoughts of my boyfriend, Mak. I think it was easier for me to write this song because I already had thoughts in my mind and since Mak is always on my mind it was easy to write about love. I made every other line rhyme because I realized that most songs are like poems that having some kind of rhyming scheme to it. I think many teens can relate to my song because most of them have been in love and knows how it feels when you are with someone you love.
My title, "Love So True" comes from the line, "My love for you will always stay true." It means that my love is real and that no matter what happens I will love him. Originally I had a bunch of lines that I wrote and so I took little pieces of it and made my lyrics rhyme. In my first verse I wrote the line, " I love how you can trust me with anything. Reveal your secrets to me; I'll always be here to listen." because my boyfriend has a lot of trust in me and when he has something on his mind he can always tell me. I wrote the line, " I can be your queen and you can be my king." because I thought it sounded really cute and I just felt that it had to be in the song. I like the line, "And when you smile your hazel eyes glisten." because when I read it, it really reminds me of Mak's hazel eyes. I wrote that line because when I look into Mak's eyes they always look like they're glistening.

It is pretty much saying that no matter what happens I will love him, through thick and thin, even when he is having a bad day I will be there for him. I made this verse my chorus because the whole verse rhymes so it makes it catchy and really easy to remember.
My next verse is: "So tell me the story of your life, help me find where I fit in. Through tragedy and strife, will you promise to always stay by my side?" I am saying: "Help me find where I fit in your life, tell me where I belong. Through everything that will happen, will you always stay by my side just like I will for you? Even through tragedy and struggles in our relationship will we make it through?"

The last line is self-explanatory, that I never want us to be apart because every time we're apart I miss him.
